Browser Requirements

This site is designed to work with browsers capable of using cascading style sheets. Your browser must also have JavaScript enabled in order for the menus to work.

The menus for this site are designed and tested to work with the following browsers:

  • Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0, 4.01, 4.61,  4.5, 5.0, 5.5, 6.0
  • Netscape 4.01, 4.02, 4.08, 4.5, 4.61, 4.7, 4.72, 4.74, 4.77, 6.0, 6.2, 6.21
  • Mozilla 0.9.7
  • Opera 5.02, 5.12, 6.0
  • AOL 4, 5

Tests with the listed browsers were performed on different platforms (Win32, Linux, and Macintosh).

Enabling JavaScript

In order for the menus to work properly in this website, you need to have JavaScript enabled.  To check this, do the following:

Netscape:

From the Edit menu, select Preferences then the Advanced menu item.  You will see the following screen (or one similar to it):

Ensure that Enable Javascript and Enable Style Sheets are selected (have a check mark next to these items). Select OK to accept these changes.  You will have to reload the web page in order for the changes to take effect.

Internet Explorer:

From the Tools menu, select Internet Options, click the Security tab. You will see a window similar to the one on the left below. Click the Custom Level button.  This will bring you to the Security Settings options window.

 

Ensure that Active Scripting and Scripting of Java applets are enabled (have a dot next to these items). Select OK to accept these changes (keep selecting OK until you return to the web page).  You will have to reload the web page in order for the changes to take effect.

How do I know what version my browser is?

To find out what version you are currently using, go to the "Help" menu at the top of the screen and click on "About Netscape / About Communicator" or "About Microsoft Explorer".  This will tell you which version you are currently running.

It is highly recommended that you run at least version 4.7x of Netscape (or higher) or at least version 5.x (or higher) of Internet Explorer.

What if I can't read the reports that are in PDF format?

Some of the reports that are included in this web site have been saved in PDF format, which is read by the Adobe Acrobat software. This software is FREE and can be downloaded by clicking on the icon below. If Adobe Acrobat starts but the file is not readable, try upgrading to the newest version of Acrobat.
